Jobs and estimates
Kit clashes and pencils
The warnings on an estimate when your own kit is short or booked on another job.
BidWrap checks each line of your own kit against your other jobs on the same days. If there is a problem, a warning shows under the line.
- Short: you do not own enough for this job, whatever else is booked. Cross hire the rest or reduce the quantity.
- Clash: you own enough, but some are held by a confirmed job on the same days. The warning names the job.
- Possible clash: another job that is still an enquiry or estimate has pencilled the same kit. It becomes a firm clash if both go ahead.
For a kit made of several pieces, each piece is checked, and the warning names the piece that is short.
Warnings only show on jobs still to come. Once a job is over, or invoiced, paid, lost or cancelled, its lines are not checked.
What counts
- Confirmed, In production, Wrapped, Invoiced and Paid jobs hold kit firmly.
- Enquiry and Estimating jobs pencil it.
- Lost and Cancelled jobs hold nothing.
- Cross hired kit is not counted against your own.
- For an item with units in the register, only units in service and available to rent are counted. Otherwise the quantity set on the item is used.
