Basics

The link in your email, or the one you copy with Copy client link, opens the estimate in the client’s web browser. They do not need an account.

What the client does

  1. Open the link.
  2. Read the estimate, the usage licence and the terms.
  3. Type their full name under Approve this estimate.
  4. Tick the box to approve the estimate total and accept the terms.
  5. Click Approve estimate.

What happens in BidWrap

  • The revision is marked approved, with their name, the date and the total, and locked.
  • Other revisions still in draft or sent are marked Replaced.
  • An Enquiry or Estimating job becomes Confirmed, so its kit is held.

Approving or declining it yourself

If the client says yes by phone or email, click Mark as approved above the estimate. It does the same as an online approval, and records it as marked approved by you. If they say no, click More, then Mark as declined. Declining is offered once the estimate has been sent.

Once the estimate is approved, the email form goes, and a Make the invoice button appears beside it. Click it when you are ready to invoice. Once the invoice exists, the same place says Open the invoice.

TipWhen the declined estimate is the last one still open on the job, the job becomes Lost. It leaves your current jobs, and keeps the estimate for reference. If you are still working on another revision, the job stays as it is.
