Moving to BidWrap
Whether you bid from a spreadsheet, other software or a folder of old PDFs, you do not need to move everything at once. Bring your clients, set up your rates once, and start with your next job.
Import them from Apple Contacts, Outlook, Google Contacts or a spreadsheet. People at the same company are grouped under one client, and you tick which ones to bring in. Anyone already in BidWrap is left as it is.
Put in your day rates for fees, crew and kit once, as a catalogue. Every estimate is then built from your own prices, picked from the list.
Fill in the jobs spreadsheet to bring your old jobs and their totals across. Or leave them where they are, start with your next job, and BidWrap fills up as you work.
Fees, usage, crew, equipment, studio and expenses, each with its own subtotal, the way a commercial estimate is read.
Write the licence once as a template, then adjust it for each job. It prints with the estimate and the invoice.
Keep every revision of an estimate, then turn the approved one into an advance or a final invoice with the same job number.
Every piece with its serial number and what you paid, QR labels to scan kit out and back in, and a printable register for your insurer.
Photograph a receipt and the supplier, date, VAT and total are filled in, then linked to the job and recharged if you choose.
Keep your books in FreeAgent, Xero or whatever your accountant uses. Each quarter is one download for your accountant, and connections to FreeAgent and Xero are planned.
Yes. Nothing you import changes the files or software it came from, so you can run both for a few jobs before you switch.
Yes. Fill in the BidWrap jobs spreadsheet, or export a jobs list from your old software under its headings. Each job comes in with its client, date, status and total, so your reports include your history. If you use Blinkbid now, BidWrap also reads the jobs list and the estimate and invoice PDFs it exports, rebuilding each one line by line.
While BidWrap is being tested, ask when you request your invite and we can help bring your history in.
It works in any up to date web browser, on a Mac, a PC, an iPad or a phone. There is nothing to install.
It is yours. You can download all of it at any time, including after you stop paying.
BidWrap is free while it is being tested by a small group of photographers and videographers. Ask for an invite and bring your work across.
